Library to close for staff service day

BELLEVUE The Bellevue Public Library is to be closed Wednesday for a staff in-service day.

Bracelet-themed craft night

SYCAMORE The Mohawk Community Library is to host adult craft night at 6:30 p.m. April 1.

Participants are to be able to make bracelets in the Shamballa style. There is a $2 fee for the class.

T-SPL announces annual book sale

The Friends of the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host the annual book sale 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and 1-4:30 p.m. April 6.

There is to be a special preview for Friends of the Library members only 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Memberships are to be available at the door.

April 6, there is to be a bag sale. Any sized bag of books is to be sold for $2.

Donations of books are to begin Monday during regular hours.

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library's Teen Advisory Board is to meet at 6-7 p.m. April 7 in the Junior Home room.

Essential oils presentation set

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to present "Essential Oils: Greening up your life" at 6:30 p.m. April 10 in the Frost Kalnow room.

Bev Martin, local essential oil educator, is to teach participants how essential oils can be used for cleaning to health.

Make Easter treats at the library

The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host "Easter...not just eggs and baskets" at 10:30 a.m. April 10 in the Frost Kalnow room.

Participants are to learn how to make Easter treats for the family including homemade candies. Menus for Easter dinner also are to be included.

T-SPL to host egg hunt

The junior department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host an Easter Egg Hunt 2-3 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. April 14 in the Frost Kalnow room.

The program is for children ages 6 and younger and their parents. The event is to feature an indoor egg hunt, a basket parade and story and craft time.

Registration is required by April 12.

Program to feature egg design crafts

BELLEVUE The Bellevue Public Library is to host an egg design themed "Make It and Take It Craft Day" at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Younger visitors may need help from a parent or caregiver. The program

is to continue while supplies last.

Library offers literacy program

The junior department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host "Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library," 6:15-7 p.m. April 15.

The workshop is to present the five early literacy practices to encourage reading in children.

T-SPL book group to read 'Burial Rites'

The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library's adult book discussion group, "Coffee by the Book: Book Group at the Wick" is to meet at 6 p.m. April 17 at Bailiwicks Coffee Co., 62 S. Washington St.

The next book to discuss is "Burial Rites" by Hannah Kent.

Lego program features flight

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host its monthly "Lego Saturday" program 1-3 p.m. April 19 in the Frost Kalnow room.

The program is for all ages. The library is to supply Duplo Blocks for children 2-4 years of age and Legos for ages 4 and older.

The theme for April is flying.

Library program for preschoolers

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host preschool story time 1 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. April 10, 17, 24 and May 1 in the Frost Kalnow room.

The program is to feature stories, poems, songs, finger plays, puppets and more.

Library program for parents and babies

The next date for Babies & Books is at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. April 8 in the Frost Kalnow room at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library.

The program features stories, rhymes, songs and finger plays.

Parents or caregivers and babies, age birth to 24 months old, are asked to sign up for one session.

'Get organized' at the library

Part four of the program "Get Organized" is at 6:30 p.m. April 17 in the Frost Kalow room at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library.

The teen department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host Saturday Teen Cinema at 3 p.m. April 12 in the Frost Kalnow room.

The film featured is to be Disney's "Frozen." The film is rated PG and runs 102 minutes.

The event is open to all ages. Refreshments are to be provided.

New titles at MCL

SYCAMORE - Mohawk Community Library is to introduce new teen fiction titles from authors Jenny L. Cote, Bryan Davis, Kiera Cass, Jane Nickerson, Emma Pass, Amy Tallkington and Bree Despain.
