John E. Ward, 48, of Fostoria, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct Sunday night. Sgt. Joseph Feld of the Tiffin Police Department said Ward allegedly had a struggle with a police officer while trying to leave Mercy Tiffin Hospital after being told not to leave. Ward was subdued with a stun gun during the struggle but was not injured. Feld said the officer also was not injured.

A semi-truck driver was cited with traveling off a truck route after his semi became stuck under the North Washington Street viaduct Sunday night. The driver's trailer had contained 50,000 pounds of potatoes, according to the report. CSX also was contacted.
Amber Stanley, 28, of Port Clinton, was cited with failure to stop at a stop sign following a two-vehicle accident Monday morning at SR 162 and SR 4. She was transported to Mercy Willard Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Deputy Denny Wilkinson of the Seneca County Sheriff's Office. The other driver was not transported to the hospital, Wilkinson said. An electrical pole was damaged as a result of the crash. Ohio Edison was summoned to the scene, according to the Seneca County Sheriff's Office report.
