Cabaret tonight at TU
Tiffin University students are to present "A Night of Cabaret" at 7 p.m. today in Franks Hall's Chisholm Auditorium on campus.
The concert is to celebrate the music of the composers and the stories told in the songs of contemporary and classic musical theater and jazz. Artist in Residence and voice instructor Jeanette Berry is directing the free program.
Little ones, egg hunt coming
Area children are invited to the annual Christi Thomas Memorial Easter Egg Hunt at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Legacy Courtyard at Tiffin University.
Family and friends are welcome to watch the hunt for brightly colored, surprise-filled eggs. Special appearances by TU's Dragon mascot and the Easter Bunny are expected.
Children should meet in the Osceola Theatre with adult supervision and a basket to collect eggs. Age groups are to be given various hunting times, beginning with those age 2 and younger, followed in succession by ages 3-4, 5-6 and 7 and older.

Dishing fish Friday
The final spring fish fry by the Seneca County Commission on Aging is set for 5-8 p.m. Friday at Somerset Reception Center, 382 S. Huron St.
Dinner includes all-you-can-eat walleye, a hot food bar, salad bar, dessert and beverages. Tickets are $7.50 in advance and $8 at the door.

Sandusky River Coon Hunters has planned a Good Friday Alaskan walleye fish fry 5-8 p.m. Friday at the group's clubhouse, 7575 S. TR 131, next to Walnut Grove Campgrounds.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children for all you care to eat.
Humane society sale slated
Donations for the Humane Society Garage Sale April 26 and 27 can be dropped off 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. April 21-24 at the Seneca County Fairgrounds.

Canonizations to be shown
FINDLAY - Carmike 12 Cinema in Findlay is to host a live broadcast of the canonization of Popes John Paul II and John XXIII at 10 a.m. April 27. A satellite feed from Rome is to be projected onto the screen in a ceremony lasting more than 200 minutes.
Admission is free, but only 145 seats are available.
The theater is at 906 Interstate Drive, on the west side of Findlay.

Historical groups to meet
Clyde Heritage League will conduct its annual meeting at 2 p.m. April 27 at the Clyde Public Library. League member Jill McCullough will present a video/slide presentation titled, "The Life of James B. McPherson," with narration by Lucas Messer.
The meeting also will include the presentation of the Heritage Award, a business meeting, election of trustees and refreshments.
The event is free to all.
The Johnson's Island Civil War Round Table is to have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. April 27 at T.J. Willie's, 738 W. Market St.
Nina Parker, director of the Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center, will present "Escape to Freedom."
Members and guests may choose to chat and dine beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Garage sale scheduled
The Tiffin Glass Collectors Club is to conduct a garage sale 1-5 p.m. April 28 and 29 at the museum, 25 S. Washington St.
