A Toledo man was sentenced to eight years in prison after he was found guilty of drug charges this week.
Antwan L. Huggins, 31, was given the sentence by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley after he pleaded no contest with consent to finding of guilty to possession of drugs, a first-degree felony, and illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony.
The charges stem from Huggins' arrest in June in which a large amount of cocaine was found on him during a traffic stop in Fostoria. Law enforcement said Huggins was believed to have been involved in a cocaine distribution ring.
Huggins also has another case pending in Seneca County Common Pleas Court charging him with trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in heroin and tampering with evidence. He is scheduled to appear Friday for a bond hearing an arraignment.
