Homer C. Hedges, 89, of Tiffin, passed away at 1:27 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014, at his residence.
Homer was born April 28, 1924, in Miami, Fla., to the late Homer and Edith (Bryant) Hedges. Homer married Mary E. (Mergel) in Bucyrus March 3, 1951, and she survives in Tiffin.
Survivors include his two sons, Jim Hedges and Greg Hedges both of Tiffin; three brothers, Bill Hedges of N.C., Frank Hedges of Galion and Don Hedges of Marblehead.
Homer was the owner/operator of H & H Tool Cutter Service in Tiffin. Homer enjoyed fishing, boating and gardening. Homer was a Sycamore High School graduate and a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ernest Hedges.
Graveside services for Homer will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Broken Sword Cemetery. There will be no visitation held for Homer at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
