JV BASEBALL: Hopewell-Loudon beat Mohawk 19-9. Matt Huth, Austin Tooker and Bryce Steinhauser all had three-hit games for the Chieftains.
* Columbian beat Shelby 8-6. Austin Burgess and Austin Parrott doubled to lead the Tornadoes with Parrott tacking on an RBI. Brennen Emerine, Kris Wilson, Brad Fitch, Isaac Lewis, Shane Huffman and Austin Mungia all singled. Fitch and Mungia added RBIs. Graydon Bunting threw the final five innings to pickup the win, striking out five.
JV SOFTBALL: Mohawk improved to 13-1 on the season with a 7-4 victory over Carey. Stacy Clouse picked up the win to move to 7-1 on the year. Kayle Reis-Kelly doubled, tripled and scored two runs. Reanna Garber tripled, singled and scored. Also for Mohawk, Aubrey Ward had a double, singled and two RBIs while Mya Morris had two singles and two RBIs.

GOLF: Two teams tied in the Friday Senior League at Clinton Heights. The team of Ted Rombach, Mike Hempp, Howard Hohman and Jim Radcliff tied with John Armstrong, Bob Overholt, Carl Rainey and Butch Whippel at 4-under par. Prize holes went to Hohman (closet to the pin, No. 5), Bob Hammer (closest in two, No. 2), Lou Griselding (closest in three, No. 9) and Bum Farr (long putt, No. 1).

CALVERT CHEERLEADING: Calvert cheerleading tryouts will be May 10 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Tryout clinics will be May 7-8 from 5-7 p.m. in the gym. Learned material includes a sideline chant and dance and an original cheer must be created for tryouts. Tryout accommodations will be made for any participant who is not able to tryout on the date.
