Learn about human trafficking
Sister Mary Kuhlman is to give a free program on human trafficking Thursday at Mercy Tiffin Hospital. The morning presentation is 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; the evening session is 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Barbecue dinner planned
REPUBLIC - A chicken barbecue dinner is to be served at 11 a.m. Saturday at Republic Town Hall. Each meal is $9.
Drive-through and carry outs are to be available.
Conference to cover addiction
FREMONT - Firelands Regional Medical Center and Counseling and Recovery Services is to offer its 15th annual Forensic Conference 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. May 21 at Terra State Community College, Fremont.
An expert on addiction and recovery, Cardwell Nuckols is to be the presenter. His program is titled "A Neurobiology Seminar: Understanding the Client with Early Life Developmental Trauma, Substance-Use Disorder and Antisocial Behavior to Improve Community Intervention and Treatment Outcomes." The target audience is judges, attorneys, parole/probation officers, prosecutors, public defenders, psychiatrists, counselors and social workers and other social service professionals.
Registration is limited to the first 250 registrants from professionals serving Erie, Huron, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot counties. Register no later than May 15 by calling (800) 242-5393.
Enrichment series continues
FOSTORIA - First Step, 1099 Columbus Ave., Fostoria, has started a Women's Enrichment Series that runs 6-7:30 p.m. Mondays. Refreshments are to be served at each gathering.
