Roy D. Williams, 96, of Tiffin, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014, at St. Francis Nursing Home, Tiffin.
Roy was born June 5, 1917, in Tiffin, to David and Hannah (Biller) Williams. He married Elsie Sours Feb. 26, 1938, in Napoleon, and she preceded him in death April 25, 2004.
Survivors include his son, Jerry L. (Lorrie) Williams of Tiffin; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Neva Hunker of Tiffin.
Roy retired from National Machinery after 22 years and was a member of First Lutheran Church. He was a 1935 graduate of Columbian High School.
Roy also was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ralph Williams; grandson, Gary Williams; and four brothers, Stanley, Dale, Carl and Herman Williams.
A funeral will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, with the Rev. Ken Gillikin officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin.
