Sharing is free, easy and legal
We tip our cap this week to Julie Haferd, media manager at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library, for helping provide patrons with free online and mobile access to music, movies and books.
Earlier this century, peer-to-peer file-exchange websites made it easy for people to share MP3 files and other forms of entertainment media digitally. Unfortunately, those sites often violated copyright laws.
But online services have adapted. Now, people who have a T-SPL library card can use Hoopla Digital to download thousands of movies, TV shows, documentaries and music albums, plus more than 100,000 audiobooks.
It's all free, and there's no need to worry about late fees. The digital content expires on the due date.
