5K MUD RUN: The Gillmor Community Park in Fort Seneca will host a 5k Mud Run on June 7. There will be an adult race at 10:30 a.m. and a kid's race at noon. SOCCER: The Tiffin Soccer Club will conduct a player placement and parent meeting day June 7. Players will be on field from 9-10 a. m. with the parent meeting from 10-10:30 a. m. This is for kids entering the sixth, seventh or eighth grade who want to play soccer in the fall of 2014. The event will be held at Hidden Valley (within Hedges-Boyer Park). FUNDRAISER: There will be a fundraiser at KemoSabes Roadhouse Grill in Fostoria June 8 from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. Hopewell-Loudon sophomore wrestlers Damion Vitt and Alex Brock will be raising money to go to Walt Disney World Resort for the AAU Wrestling Scholastic Disney Duals being held from June 6-July 1. They have been asked to join the Titan Wrestling Club out of Aurora. There will be a host of raffle items that you can purchase tickets to win. Door prizes will be going on all day long. CYO TRACK: Tiffin Catholic represented both St. Joseph and St. Mary parishes with a cadet boys and cadet girls team consisting of 47 athletes in fourth-sixth grade. There were 25 parishes from the diocese present with more than 550 athletes for the track meet at Bowling Green High School. The cadet boys team placed second overall and the cadet girls team placed first. The boys 4x200 relay team, consisting of Aaron Rombach, Justin Ferstler, Ethan Vera and Robert Daniel broke the school record with a time of 2:05.91. The record was broken at the Findlay St. Michael Track Meet on May 4 at Donnell Stadium. Aaron Rombach broke the school record in the long jump with a jump of 14-11. The record was broke at the Diocesan Track Meet May 18 at Bowling Green High School.
