BASCOM - Paige Reichert fanned 11 and belted a double as part of her team's 16-hit attack Wednesday as Seneca East trounced Hopewell-Loudon 16-1 in Midland Athletic League play.
Reichert ended 3 for 3, scoring twice and driving in a run for the Tigers (16-10, 6-4 MAL).
Amy Martin went 3 for 4 with a double, run and two RBIs, Caitlin Sauers drove in two runs and doubled, Bri Heal had a double and RBI and Kristen Bowerman scored twice and tripled.
Kelsey Coppus took the loss for the Chieftains. She also drove in a run.
Makayla Wilson singled and scored and Shelbi Sauber lined two singles.
Tigers clip Calvert
Calvert had the baserunners, but couldn't get the extra runs. North Baltimore had plenty of the former and just enough of the latter.
Brock Boyer allowed five hits, three walks and three hit batters, but he and North Baltimore held the Senecas scoreless after the second inning Wednesday to claim a 4-3 Midland Athletic League win.
Calvert scored twice in the bottom of the second to snap a 1-all tie, but the Tigers knotted the game in the fourth and pushed two more runs across in the fifth.
Boyer and Stewart both singled twice for North Baltimore, with Boyer scoring and Stewart knocking in a run. Jacob Frost and Sean Watson both singled and scored and Levi Newcomer had a single and RBI. Zach Meggit also scored.
Brayden Harrison doubled for Calvert and Jesse Gase singled twice and scored. Sam Shelt-Palm and Peyton Deats both singled, Drew Ritzler and Austin Perry each scored and Jacob Vera and Jacob Zimmeran both chased in a run.
Bailey Hickman (1-1) suffered the loss in two innings of relief.
