JUNIOR HIGH TRACK: Calvert competed in the 2014 Middle School Track and Field State Championships held in Columbus. For the boys, Connor Kwait placed 11th in the long jump (15-10 ), while Brad Haren placed ninth in the 400 (59.86) and Austin Jones took 13th in the 400 (1:02.15). The team of Kwait, Jones, Haren and Eric Payne took sixth in the 4x200 (1:52.96). In girls competition Kennedy Smith took third in the long jump (14-8 1/2) and 11th in the 400 (1:07.67), Taylor Harris took second in the 3,200 (12:58.60) and fourth in the 1,600 (5:41.38) while Elayna Kapelka finished 14th in the discus (75-8) and 15th in the shot put (32-3 1/4).
MEMORIAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: The 4th annual Brady, Brandan and Clint Memorial Basketball Tournament is Sunday at the Tiffin Community YMCA. Registration is at noon and games begin at 1 p. m. It will be a 3-on-3 team format with one substitute per team. The tournament will be double elimination with games going to 15 points. Fee is $25 per team and tournament T-shirts are $10. GOLF: Three teams tied at 10-under par in the Tuesday Bump's Retiree Traveling League at Sleepy Hollow. The team of Steve Schwab, Darl Elchert, John Schalk and Jim Bishop won by getting a birdie on the third handicap hole. Next week's outing will be at Oak Harbor Golf Club at 9 a.m.

5K MUD RUN: The Gillmor Community Park in Fort Seneca will host a 5k Mud Run on June 7. There will be an adult race at 10:30 a.m. and a kid's race at noon. SOCCER: The Tiffin Soccer Club will hold a player placement and parent meeting day June 7. Players will be on field 9-10 a. m. with the parent meeting 10-10:30 a. m. FUNDRAISER: KemoSabes Roadhouse Grill in Fostoria will host a fundraiser 11 a.m.-9 p.m. June 8 for Hopewell-Loudon sophomore wrestlers Damion Vitt and Alex Brock go to Walt Disney World Resort for the AAU Wrestling Scholastic Disney Duals. The wrestling event is June 26-July 1. They have been asked to join the Titan Wrestling Club out of Aurora. There will be a host of raffle items that you can purchase tickets to win. SPEED CAMP: There will be a speed and agility camp June 16-20 and July 14-18 at Tiffin University's Hanson Fitness Center.
