Josephine C. Dible, 98, of Carey, died at 8:12 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.
She was born Jan. 6, 1916, in Tiffin, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jenny (Grubel) Williams. She married Ralph E. Dible Sr. July 6, 1937, and he preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1995.
Surviving are her six children, Kenneth (Sharon) Dible of Marion, Melvin (Shirley) Dible of Upper Sandusky, Robert (Roseann) Dible of Harpster, Gary (Peggy) Dible of Marion, Rose Thiel of Upper Sandusky and Diana (Rick) Rettig of Perrysburg; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Dible of Tiffin; and a friend, Tom Hartman of Lancaster.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Daryl and R. Eugene Jr. Dible; a daughter, Dorla Dible; and three brothers, Charles, Clarence F. and Raymond Williams.
She was a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey. Josephine enjoyed playing bingo and Yahtzee, doing crafts, sewing and dancing. She also enjoyed her dog, Shadow. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Friends will be received 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, where a Christian wake service will begin at 5 p.m.
Her Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, with the Rev. J.R. Hadnagy, OFM Conv. officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
