James Chester Cheney, 75, of Sycamore, died June 27, 2014, at his residence.
He was born May 14, 1939, in McCutchenville, to Chester and Margeurite (Bolyard) Cheney. James was married to and divorced Faith McWilliams, Shirley McClain and Carol Stapley, and they all survive.
He is also survived by seven children, Austin (Leigh) of Charleston, Illinois, Lyle (Sandy) and Cindy Lou (James) Weatherholtz, both of Upper Sandusky, Craig (Jill) of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Sandra (Tony) Washington of South Euclid, and Tara (Kurt) Balliet and Angela (Ken) Pryor, both of Sycamore; two stepsons, Bob (Lisa) Pergram and Brad (Amanda) Baird, both of Carey; 30 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Steve Cheney of Homosassa, Florida, Dennis Cheney of Deshler and Roger Cheney of Ashland; and a sister, Judy Lianos of Upper Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry and Randy Cheney; and a granddaughter.
A graveside service, officiated by the Rev. Dana B. Wagner, will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
