ATTICA - Two youths were arrested in Willard Tuesday morning in connection to vehicle break-ins in Attica. The two boys were taken to Seneca County Youth Center.
A third remained at large Wednesday afternoon, Chief Keith Turner of Attica Police Department said.
Turner said the boys are from the Willard area and were identified through surveillance photographs. They used one of the stolen credit cards at a convenience store in New Haven, he said.
One of the boys was charged with receiving stolen property and appeared in Seneca County Juvenile Court Wednesday.
Turner said charges against the other two are pending. They are to be charged with six counts of breaking and entering, five counts of theft and one count of theft of a firearm, he said.
According to sheriff's office reports, two women in the 300 block of North Liberty Street reported Monday morning their vehicles were broken into. A 100-block North Liberty Street resident reported a vehicle was broken into, and a first-block Lemmon Street woman reported someone broke into her car.
Also, a 200-block West High Street man reported Monday afternoon his vehicle was broken into, and his gun was stolen. Change was taken from one vehicle and a purse was taken out of another vehicle in the 100 block of West High Street.
Willard Police Department assisted in the investigation.
