'Purge Night' suspect sentenced to jail

Aug. 18, Fostoria police were made aware of an individual creating an event on Facebook that was referred to as "Fostoria Purge Night." The event was scheduled for a date and time in August and an invitation to 208 people via Facebook was placed, according to a release. Comments to the Facebook page included using guns, knives or "anything to kill." Further, there were comments posted including "gang raping," the release states. An arrest warrant was issued for Andrew Dean Wright, 24, who was listed as residing outside the city limits of Fostoria. He was charged with inducing panic. He appeared in Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court and upon pleading no contest, was sentenced to 15 days in jail, the release states.
