Television and electronics recycling set for Saturday

The Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca Joint Solid Waste District is sponsoring a television and electronics recycling collection Saturday for Ottawa, Sandusky and Seneca County residents, including all residents of Bellevue and Fostoria. Materials from businesses will not be accepted. The event is set for 9 a.m. until noon at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, W. SR 163, Oak Harbor; Sandusky County Fairgrounds, north parking lot, 712 North St., Fremont; and Seneca County Fairgrounds, south lot, TR 594, Tiffin. The cost is $2 for TVs 24-inches and smaller, $3 for TVs 25 inches and larger, and $5 for console units and projection-screen TVs. Additional materials to be accepted free include electronics (any item with a power cord excluding appliances of any size with freon), flat-panel LCD and plasma televisions and cell phone equipment.
