Fostoria hospital employees get their flowers

FOSTORIA — ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital announced the latest winners of the Garden Awards. Anyone in the community can submit a nomination for the Garden Awards. At the end of each quarter, a committee reviews the nominations and selects the recipients. Michelle Agapiou, RN, is the recipient of the DAISY Award. The award is presented to a deserving nurse to celebrate the extraordinary compassion they provide patients and families every day. Michelle was nominated by a colleague who highlighted her exceptional work ethic, teamwork and unwavering dedication. Teresa Gilbert is the recipient of the ROSE Award. The award recognizes extraordinary efforts of non-nursing employees who provide outstanding patient services in any position.Teresa was nominated for her outstanding dedication, compassion and commitment to excellence. A friendly and dependable member of the Lab team, she consistently goes above and beyond to support others and keep operations running smoothly. Dr. Michael Baer is the recipient of the IRIS (Individual Recognition of Integrity and Safety) Award. The award is dedicated to celebrating team members who go above and beyond to advocate for patient safety. Dr. Baer was nominated for his attentiveness and strong commitment to safety.
