Ottawa County grand jury charges 13 people

PORT CLINTON — An Ottawa County grand jury recently returned indictments on 13 people for crimes allegedly committed in the area. Among those indicted: Thomas E. Owens, who is being held in the Ottawa County jail, was charged with 15 felony counts of theft, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and prohibited acts involving certificates of title. Owens, who operates Tom's Toys, Inc, a boat and truck store, allegedly sold recreational vehicles without titles, and also allegedly falsified information on title documents, according to the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office. Others indicted include:• Janelle Kazmierczak, address not provided, charged with heroin possession• Alexander Cruz, Jr., of the 2000 block of E. State Road, Port Clinton, charged with two counts of endangering children.• Caitlin M. Henderson, of the 2000 block of E. State Road, Port Clinton, charged with two counts of endangering children.• Richard Hunt, III, of Toledo, charged with theft. • Richard Norris, of Elmore, indicted on one count each of cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. • Lindsay Judd, of Pickerington, Ohio, charged with assault of a peace officer, obstructing official business and persistent disorderly conduct.• Timothy Norris, address not provided, charged with domestic violence. • Richard Babuka, of Florida, was indicted on three counts of felonious assault, OVI, injuring a companion animal. • Michael Foks, address not provided, charged with possession of weapons under disability and two counts of aggravated menacing. • Daniel Lutz, address not provided, indicted on one count of violating a protection order. • Vincent Abbruzzese, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, charged with falsification and theft. • David Whitt, address not provided, charged with theft from the elderly and four counts of theft of credit cards. An indictment is a formal charge and doesn't denote guilt or innocence.
