Calvert's Ritzler earns D-VII POY, 6 other Senecas on All-Ohio list

While the end of the season didn't end how any Calvert baseball player wanted it to, it still was another fantastic season on the baseball diamond. The Senecas (28-3) got seven players on the All-Ohio list in Division VII – none bigger than the D-VII Player of the Year Logan Ritzler. The senior third baseman finished his career as the player of the year in the SBC River and District 9 as well.Joining Ritzler on the first in D-VII were senior catcher Connor Moyer, senior first baseman Cameron Moyer, senior outfielder AJ Shoemaker and sophomore shortstop Charlie Palm. Second-team picks were Calvert sophomore pitcher Tucker Coleman and junior outfielder Vincenzo Lyons and Mohawk senior catcher Owen Patrizi and honorable mentions were New Riegel senior shortstop Alec Hohman and junior utility Gabe Pugh.In D-VI, Carey sophomore pitcher Garrett Hall was named to the second team, while Seneca East senior second baseman Braydon Robinson joined him, and Hopewell-Loudon sophomore shortstop Austin Smith and Carey junior David Hall were both honorable mention.Then in Division IV, Bellevue junior shortstop Ike Brown was a first-team selection, while junior pitcher Blake Sutherland and Upper Sandusky senior pitcher Josh Heilman were both honorable mention.
