GFCF awards over $180,000

FOSTORIA — The Greater Fostoria Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling $182,582.48 across all component funds to several organizations in the first half of 2026. In the first half of 2026, the GFCF added two new component funds; the Buckland Manley Fund to support the Humane Society & SPCA, and The United Way of Fostoria Fund to support the needs of United Way Fostoria. The GFCF is now comprised of 46 component funds, ranging from unrestricted community funds to donor advised funds and organization endowment funds in support of philanthropic opportunities The next application deadline is Monday, Aug. 31 for fall 2026 awards. The Greater Fostoria Community Foundation accepts grant applications from qualified 501(c)3 organizations twice a year for consideration from their unrestricted community funds. Notification of these awards will take place in December with distribution in January 2027.
