HURON — William Cooper had a day.The sophomore, fifth man on Bellevue's golf team, tied for medalist honors Thursday to fuel the Redmen's two-stroke win over Perkins at the third Northern Ohio Conference tournament at Sawmill Creek.Cooper tied Ty Obergefell of Perkins for the top individual spot with a 77, helping Bellevue nip the Pirates 321-323 for the championship.Vermilion upended Columbian 324-333 for third, and Clyde held off Edison 357-360 for fifth. Norwalk took seventh over Huron on a tiebreaker after both ended regulation knotted at 374. Port Clinton ended ninth (398).Blake Sutherland tied for fourth individually with an 80 to back Cooper, Jackson Decker tied for seventh with an 81, and Kaden Beard and Bradon Spurlock each tied for 15th to round up the scoring for Bellevue.James Gish (88) also played for the Redmen.Columbian's Kyle Hepp captured third in the individual standings with a 79.
