Farmers focus group The Seneca Conservation District is hosting two focus groups for farmers and homeowners The first focus group is for farmers and will take place from 2-3 p.m. on Feb. 5 at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library, 77 Jeffeson St. To qualifiy, attendees are to be a resident of Seneca County and a full- or part-time farmer. The second focus group will take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library, 77 Jefferson St. To qualify, attendees are to also be a resident of Seneca County or surrounding county and be a home or property owner. Both of the focus groups will offer $50 for one hour of your time. To register, email emily@shift-ology.com. Man sentenced to jail A Tiffin man was sentenced to jail after a violation. Jose A. Esnard Jr., 57, violated the terms and conditions of his two-year period of court-supervised probation, according to court records. Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley ordered Esnard to serve 30 days in Seneca County Jail, beginning Aug. 1. Esnard is to contact Seneca County Common Pleas Court in July to inform the court of his current employment status and follow all conditions of probation as previously ordered, court records state. Kelbley may reconsider Esnard's 30-day sentence, they state.
