Matthew Dean Potts

Matthew Dean Potts, 35, of Republic, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, as a result of an auto accident. He was born Nov. 7, 1984, in Willard, to Barry and Patricia (Daniel) Potts. He married Karilynn (Wall) Potts Nov. 2, 2013, in Republic and she survives in Republic. Other survivors include his four children, Logan Potts, Hunter Potts, Peyton Potts and Poppy Potts all of Republic; a brother, Nate (Heidi) Potts of Republic; and two sisters, Jen (Todd) Michaels of Republic and Shelly Potts of Tiffin. Matthew was a 2004 graduate of Bellevue High School. He worked at Penske in Clyde. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auto racing, tractor pulls, farming and helping others. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his children. Visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville. Funeral for Matthew will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at the funeral home with Pastor Pamela Sayre officiating. Burial will take place in Armstrong cemetery in Republic at a later date.
