Zachary L. Lanning

Zachary L. Lanning, 33, of Clyde and formerly of Bettsville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019 in the emergency room at Bellevue Hospital. Zachary was born on Feb. 9, 1986, in Nashville, TN, to Anthony Lanning and Charity Yoakum. Survivors include his mother, Charity Yoakum of Tiffin, two daughters, Alexys Lanning of Tiffin and "Bug" of Ada, two brothers, Dominic Miccichi of Tiffin, Sammy Miccichi of Fremont, a sister, Sierra Lanning of Tiffin, maternal grandmother, Ernie Yoakum of Fremont, paternal grandmother, Sherry Walden of Green Springs and paternal great-grandmother, Donna Cole of Fremont, his girlfriend and best friend, Lisa of Clyde and a very special aunt Chris. Zachary is also survived by many aunts and uncles. Zachary worked as a tow motor operator. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and spending time with his family. He was a Cincinnati sports fan and a 2004 graduate of Old Fort High School. Zachary was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandfather, Ken Yoakum and his paternal great-grandfathers, Ken Cole and Gene Hickle. There will be visitation for family and friends on Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 from 4-7 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Bettsville.
