Penn Station East Coast Subs to open Dec. 30

Penn Station East Coast Subs is to open a new restaurant at 596 West Market Street in Tiffin Monday. The restaurant is owned by Hank Barnard, Brian Bullerman and Steve Pryor. Pryor has worked for Penn Station restaurants for 23 years. Pryor started as a general manager for a multi-unit Penn Station franchisee in Dayton, where he moved up to operations director and vice president of operations. Last year he joined HB3, LLC as managing owner. This will be HB3's sixth Penn Station restaurant in Northwest Ohio. "Penn Station's hot and cold sandwiches are made with freshly sliced meats and cheeses, and the fresh ingredients make them stand out against the competition," Pryor said. "We're excited to open this new restaurant in Tiffin and continue growing the brand in Northwest Ohio." Cincinnati-based Penn Station East Coast Subs features grilled sub sandwiches – including the chain's renowned Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich — and cold deli sandwiches made to order with high-quality ingredients on hearth-baked bread. The menu also includes fresh-cut fries, hand-squeezed lemonade and chocolate chunk cookies baked daily in the restaurant. Penn Station offers eat-in dining, carry out and catering. Founded in Cincinnati in 1985, Penn Station serves an assortment of hot and cold deli sandwiches, wraps and salads made to order with high-quality ingredients. The menu also includes fresh-cut fries, hand-squeezed lemonade made throughout the day and chocolate chunk cookies baked in the restaurant. Penn Station has more than 310 locations in 15 states including Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. All but one location is franchised. Penn Station partners with local Down Syndrome Associations to raise money, donating almost $80,000 to the Cincinnati and Dayton organizations in 2019. Starting in 2020, Penn Station will host a system wide campaign each March to raise money for the local Down Syndrome Associations across the Midwest and Southeast. Projections call for the opening of 10 to 15 restaurants nationwide in 2019.
