Brett Allen Barchus, 21, of Fostoria, died Sunday, May 26, 2019, in Fostoria. He was born Oct. 19, 1997, in Fostoria. Surviving are his mother, April May (Alan M. Woessner) (Sines) Cox of Fostoria; father, Todd Michael (Samantha) Barchus Sr. of Tennessee; son, Emmett Barchus of Fostoria; girlfriend, Renae L. Thompson of Fostoria; brother and sisters, Todd Michael Barchus Jr., Jason William Barchus, Michael Todd (Cinnamon) Barchus, Sierra Barchus, Trevor Barchus and Breanna Barchus, all of Fostoria, and Alexsys Barchus of Tennessee; paternal grandmother, Sharon Heilman of Fostoria; and stepfather, Brian Cox of Wharton. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Robert Barchus; and maternal grandparents, George and Gladys Loy. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria. His funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jamie McCaskill presiding. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the family's choice in care of the funeral home.
