Woman injured in accident on US 23 and CR 18

A woman was injured in an accident at US 23 and CR 18 Saturday evening. Trooper Richard Donovan of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol said Loisanne Clouse, 45, of Alvada, was traveling south on US 23 in a 2015 Hyundai Elantra with Calob Clouse, 16, and Sydney Clouse, 18, both of Alvada. Calvin Neville, 46, of Fostoria, was traveling west on CR 18 in a 2015 Nissan Sentra with Jessica Cole, 29, of Findlay, and Raithen Neville, 5, of Fostoria, he said. Donovan said Neville failed to yield at the stop sign and his Nissan struck the Hyundai and came to a rest in the road, while the Hyundai drove off the right side of the road and came to a rest. Loisanne Clouse was transported by Bascom EMS to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, he said. Donovan said Neville was cited with failure to yield at stop sign. Everyone was wearing their seatbelts and Raithen Neville was in a proper booster seat, he said. The accident was reported at 6:54 p.m. and Bascom EMS, Bascom Joint Fire District, the Echo unit, State Highway Patrol, Reinhart Auto Body and D&D Total Repair responded to the scene.
