Ewald-Black

Patricia Ewald and Casey Black exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at The Ridge at Verterra Vineyards, Leelanau Peninsula, Michigan. The officiant of the double-ring ceremony was brother-in-law of the bride, Tom Stringer. A reception followed the ceremony at Verterra Vineyard. The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Robbin Ewald of Tiffin. The groom is the son of Joel and Mary Lou Black of Stanton, Michigan. The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a Grecian V-neck trumpet gown of white-ivory crepe, with a fluid cowel back and train embellished with a handmade crystal belt made by her mother. She carried a bouquet of white, pink and soft yellow heirloom roses arranged with daisies, Queen Anne's Lace and pine. Bridesmaids wore navy chiffon and lace dresses. Bride's attendants were Sarah Borer of Chicago, friend of the bride; Anthony Ewald of Westerville, brother of the bride; Amanda Ewald of Columbus, sister of the bride; Angela Ewald Stringer of Chicago, sister of the bride; and Liberty Ewald of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, sister of the bride. Flower girls are Polly Stringer of Chicago, niece of the bride, Stella Ewald of Westerville, niece of the bride, and Sofia Zamora of Stanton, Michigan, niece of the groom. Groom's attendants included Jeremy Black, brother of the groom; Sean Black of Rockford, Michigan, brother of the groom; Joelle Black of Stanton, Michigan, sister of the groom; Andy Thwaites of Healdburg, Colorado, friend of the groom; and Ryan Marston, of Louisville, Colorado, friend of the groom. Ring bearers were Henry Ewald of Westerville, nephew of the bride, and Victor Zamora of Stanton, Michigan, nephew of the groom. The bride, a graduate of Calvert High School and the University of Dayton, is a managing partner with ICF Next. The groom, a graduate of Central Montcalm High School and Grand Valley State University, is a sales engineer. The couple resides in Chicago after returning from their honeymoon trip to Upper Peninsula, Michigan.
