Tiffin man hurt in accident at US 224 and CR 593

A Tiffin man was hurt in an accident at US 224 and CR 593 Tuesday morning. Trooper Don Pratt of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol said Layne Bosler, 21, of Tiffin, was driving a 2016 Ford Escape and intended to turn left onto US 224. Bosler said he stopped and waited and admitted his windows still were fogged up, Pratt said. The Ford Escape pulled into the path of a 2002 Honda Civic, which was driven southeast on US 224 by Jeremy Young, 43, of Tiffin, and the Honda Civic struck the Ford Escape, he said. Pratt said Young had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital. Bosler was not hurt and was cited with failure to yield from a stop sign, Pratt said. They were wearing seatbelts, he said. Personnel from Bascom EMS, Bascom Joint Fire District, the county's Echo unit, Ohio Department of Transportation, D&D Total Repair and John's Welding and Towing assisted at the scene. The accident was reported about 7:25 a.m. Rescue personnel also responded to an accident Monday night. A Seneca County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said personnel from North Central EMS and Old Fort Volunteer Fire Department were sent to a single-vehicle rollover accident on North CR 15. There was no transport to a hospital, she said. Further information was unavailable from State Highway Patrol Tuesday.
