T-SPL Talks Tiffin-Seneca Public Library will host "T-SPL Talks: Digital Empowerment for Parents" Jan. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room. Parents will learn about current trends and online risks associated with children being on the internet, as well as ways to empower children to make safe and healthy choices online. Experience VR at the Library "Experience Virtual Reality at Your Library" at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room. Findlay Area Multiple Sclerosis Support Group Regular Meeting: second Monday of each month 6:30-8p.m. First United Church of Christ, 2100 Greendale Ave. Findlay. The January meeting will still be at the regular Findlay location. However, beginning in February, 2019 the monthly meetings will move to our new location at Yoga Chucks Health & Wellness in Tiffin. Free Radon Testing for Ohio Residents January is National Radon Action Month. The Seneca County General Health District has joined the Union County Health Department in the Indoor Radon Grant. Residents of Seneca and surrounding counties are encouraged to have their homes tested for radon. Homeowners with a household income less than $80,500 can get a free test kit at www.uchd.net/radon. Simply complete a short online form and a free test kit will be mailed to your home within a few weeks. Test kits are also available for purchase at most hardware and home improvement stores. Attica Fish Fry The Attica Knights of Columbus will be serving an all you care to eat fish fry or a chicken tenders dinner, Friday Feb. 1, at the K of C Hall, 11 Heyman Drive, Attica, from 5 to 7 p.m. The dinner includes baked potato or French fries, coleslaw, apple sauce, bread & drink. Adults are $10 and Children $6 Children under 4 years old are free. Senior Citizens Hall of Fame Ohio Department of Aging seeks nominations for statewide Senior Citizens Hall of Fame Annual recognition. Since its inception, more than 450 older Ohioans have been inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. If you know someone who belongs among those ranks, the Ohio Department of Aging wants to hear from you. The hall honors current or long-time Ohio residents age 60 and older who have made and continue to make a lasting impact on their communities, their professions or their vocations. The Peacemaker Award Winner, Dr. Cindy Lepeley, does Spanish interpretation work and took a class of Heidelberg University students to interpret for asylum seekers in Dilley, Texas. Under the ECOE, employees will adhere to a clearly defined standard of excellence. These standards of excellence will be reviewed with prospective employees prior to initial employment and distributed to current employees annually.
