Alleged escape

A Fremont man was charged after allegedly leaving CROSSWAEH Sunday evening, according to Seneca County Sheriff's Office. At 6:07 p.m., a person from CROSSWAEH, 3055 S. SR 100, reported a man had walked away from the facility, heading east on US 224. Deputy Troy Callahan said Tramel M. Aultmon, 38, was charged with escape, a third-degree felony. "He walked away while taking the trash out," Callahan said. Aultmon was found in the 2000 block of North SR 100 and was apprehended about half an hour after he was reported missing. He was found by Deputy Misty Wheeler of Seneca County Sheriff's Office and Officer Rachel Stafford of Tiffin Police Department, Callahan said. Fostoria's canine team responded, and Bloomville and Republic police department personnel also had been headed to the area to assist. Aultmon had pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, in January and was sentenced to three years of community control through Sandusky County Common Pleas Court, according to the sheriff's office. He was incarcerated in Seneca County Jail Monday night, a jail spokeswoman said.
