Connie 'Constance' L. Neal

Connie "Constance" L. Neal, 82, of rural Upper Sandusky, died at 1:17 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at home. She was born March 15, 1935, in Knox County, to Hugh and Mabel (Davis) Rogers. She married Howard L. Neal Feb. 16, 1957, in Lexington, and he survives. Surviving are three children, Jeffrey (Francine) Neal of Tiffin, Steven (Lisa) Neal of Dublin and Douglas (Rhonda) Neal of Carey; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosalee O'Leary of Galion and Patricia Hanson of Bonita, California. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jone Poe, besides her parents. Connie had worked for many years in a doctor's office as an office assistant and an X-ray technician. She was a member of Sycamore United Church of Christ and Community Quilters Club of Sycamore, was a 4-H adviser for many years in Clark and Greene counties and also was a former board member of the Wyandot County Senior Citizens. She loved to work in her garden, bake and cook for her family and was an excellent seamstress. She also knitted over 100 sweaters that went to foreign countries for "Sweaters for Kids" thru Guidepost magazine. A funeral for Connie will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, 201 W. Saffel Ave., Sycamore, with the Rev. Paul Fraser officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.
