John L. Fetzer

John L. Fetzer, 85, of Tiffin, died at 2:52 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. He was born March 24, 1932, in Tiffin, to Leon and Grace (Heilman) Fetzer. He married Carolyn Jean Yarnell June 2, 1962, in Napoleon, and she died Feb. 1, 2016. Survivors include two sons, James Fetzer of Cleveland and Joseph Fetzer of Marblehead; a daughter, Jane Houdeshell of Tiffin; a grandson, Clayton John Houdeshell of Tiffin; and a sister-in-law, Annabelle Yarnell of Deshler. He also was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Richard Yarnell. Mr. Fetzer was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He earned a degree in finance from Miami of Ohio University. He owned the Clover Club from 1958 until 1992, having purchased it from his father. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge No. 94, Moose Lodge No. 846, the American Legion and was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Indians fan.
