Sandra Jean Laney

Sandra Jean Laney, 64, of Findlay, passed away Monday, Oct. 30, 2017. She was born Oct. 26, 1953, in Findlay, to the late Lester and Virginia Loy. Sandra is survived by her three children, Franklin P. (Wendy) Laney of Tiffin, Nichole M. (Robert) Ramirez of Louisville, Kentucky, and Sarah E. (Bradyn) Sterling of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; four grandchildren, Christopher, Kate, Alexandra and Tiago; one great-grandchild, Aria; her companion, Ron Rahe; two brothers, John (Kathy) Loy and Joe (Toni) Loy, both of Jenera; and two sisters, Sharon (Robert) Essinger of Findlay and Susan (Bruce) Decker of Upper Sandusky. Sandra was a 1972 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School. She worked for Smithfield Foods as a sales analyst. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as treasurer and secretary. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She was an avid Bowling Green State University hockey fan and a supporter of The University of Findlay. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home. Her funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home with the Rev. Denny Maurer officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.
