Overdose suspected en route to jail

A man en route to Seneca County Jail became unresponsive Wednesday night, according to a Seneca County Sheriff's Office report. Officer Amy Dickman of Green Springs Police Department said Jesse Murr, 34, of Green Springs, was charged with domestic violence, escape and evading and resisting arrest. The department responded to a 911 hang-up call at 117 S. Leonard St., the report states. Dickman said the call was a domestic dispute. After resisting arrest and being handcuffed, Murr fled on foot and there was a brief pursuit, she said. Murr was apprehended, and on the way to Seneca County Jail, he became unresponsive while in the vehicle, she said. Murr was transported from Seneca County Jail by Tiffin Fire Rescue Division to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, Dickman said. She said the incident is being investigated as a suspected overdose and Narcan was used in the ambulance and again at the hospital. Dickman said while alcohol was detected, it was undetermined Thursday what else may have been in his body.
