Alma M. Risner

Alma M. Risner, 82, of 6625 W. CR 6, New Riegel, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born Jan. 25, 1935, in Tymochtee Township, Wyandot County, to Laymond and Nellie (Rapp) Biller. She married Paul E. Risner Dec. 1, 1956, and he died April 12, 2017. Surviving are six children, Karen Risner of Berwick, Candy (Jim) Nye of Carey, Brian (Sue) Risner of Tiffin, Justine (Jeff) Fox of New Riegel, Todd Risner of Tiffin and Amy (David) Benner of Tiffin; 12 grandchildren, Pete Nye, Jimmy Nye, Misty Cox, Matt Mathias, Amber Risner, Adam Risner, Jennifer Fox, Joshua Fox, Justin Fox, Jill Fox, Ashley Benner and Dustin Benner; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bryce (Ida) Biller of rural Sycamore, Allen (Judie) Biller of Tiffin and Don (Pam) Biller of Melmore; four sisters, Cleo "Sis" Osborn, Linda (Clinton) Nye, Penny Osborn and Janice (Butch) Distel, all of Tiffin; and extended family member, Cheryl Delarosa, whom they loved like a daughter. She was preceded in death by one sister, Barb Hall, and one brother, London Biller. Alma was a homemaker and a 1953 graduate of Melmore High School. For hobbies, she loved to read, work in her yard and flower garden, and did a lot of babysitting. The funeral for Alma will be private and burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore.
