Irene Martin Service Award Sutton Bank is a 139-year-old financial institution headquartered in Attica. As an independent, community bank, it is deeply rooted in the communities it serves but especially in Attica where it began as The Banking House of Lester Sutton. Sutton Bank remained a one-office branch in Attica until 1991 when it opened its first branch in Willard. Since that time, Sutton has gone on to open branches in New London, Ashland, Mansfield and Tiffin. The bank has been a major contributor to the Jr. Fair Reverse Raffle every year to support the building fund and kicked off the Jr. Fair Building Fund's Raise the Roof campaign with a $50,000 donation toward the new livestock building and show arena. The cornerstone of Sutton Bank's building expansion is engraved with the quote "from small beginnings come great things" and as Sutton Bank has continued to grow, it has never forgotten from which it came.
