Cynthia J. Kimmet

Cynthia J. Kimmet, 64, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016. She was born March 27, 1952, in Jackson, Michigan, to the late Robert and Jean (White) Sherbon. She married John Kimmet July 15, 1972, and he survives. Survivors also include four children, Becky (Tim) Abbott of Findlay, John "Boo" (Andrea) Kimmet of Summit, New Jersey, David Kimmet and Tammy (Andrew Gerling) Kimmet both of Findlay; five grandchildren, Brycen, Olivia and Ella Abbott, Grant Kimmet and Izzy Gerling; a brother-in-law Michael McMullen of North Carolina and her beloved dog, Daisy Marie. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy McMullen. Cindy was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She was a legal secretary in Toledo before working for 25 years at RCA in Findlay. Cindy then worked for the city of Findlay Income Tax Department and then the Hancock Regional Planning Commission. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed watching dance recitals. She was a great cook and was famous for her tacos, broccoli cheese and breakfast casserole. Cindy also enjoyed watching "NCIS," game shows and working on crossword puzzles. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, downtown, with Msgr. Mike Hohenbrink as celebrant. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay. Memorial contributions can be made to Becky's School of Dance or Blanchard Valley Hospital-ICU.
