Brian Jay Danner

Brian Jay Danner, 41, of McCutchenville, died Saturday Dec. 3, 2016, at his residence. He was born Aug. 20, 1975, in Upper Sandusky, the son of the late Harry Danner. Brian was raised by Judy Danner. He married Emily S. Saldana May 26, 2001, in McCutchenville. Brian is survived by his wife, Emily; six children, James Danner of Tiffin, Emmah, Elijah, Zoey Danner and Zachary Saldana at home, and Dakota Baker of Tiffin; six brothers, Larry (Maria) Danner and Danny (Christine) Danner, both of Sycamore, Terry "Nort" (Becky) Danner of McCutchenville and Garry (Laurie) Danner, Buddy (Stephanie) Danner and Tom Danner, all of Sycamore; three sisters, Linda (Mike) Cooper of Tennessee, Carol (Dan) Hoerig of McCutchenville and Dixie Danner of Carey; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were a brother, Timothy Danner; a sister, Brenda Danner; and a nephew, Levi Danner. A 1995 graduate of Mohawk High School, he worked at Danner's Towing and Recycling, Sycamore. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, even though his son tagged the bigger buck last week. He, along with his brothers, loved to compete in area demolition derbies and he enjoyed playing cards with his buddies. He will be remembered as practical joker and prankster. His family was his world. He adored his wife and loved to write her poems. "Anything for my children," was his way of life. He especially enjoyed watching his children compete in various sports. Family and friends will be received 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey. His funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the funeral home with Dan Cleland officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
