Thomas J. Stamm

Thomas J. Stamm, 80, of Clyde, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky. Mr. Stamm was born June 16, 1936, in Huron. Jan. 23, 1959, he married Teresa "Terry" Hanst, and she survives. He also is survived by three children, Timothy (Joan) Stamm and James Stamm, all of Clyde, and Patricia (Tommy) Moyes of Fredericksburg, Virginia; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Howard Stamm of Castalia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur C. Stamm and stepmother Ada, and Margaret (Drusbaski) Stamm Gill and stepfather Robert Gill, as well as a sister, Ruth Ritz. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, with the Rev. Jeanette Thorp and Sister Regina Fisher officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery, with military rites provided by Clyde VFW and American Legion. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery, or the Women's Memorial at Arlington Cemetery.
