Raymond K. Perry

Raymond K. Perry, 74, of 58 Maplewood Ave., Tiffin, died at 2:47 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born April 29, 1942, in Honeybee, Kentucky, to Preston and Margie (Walker) Perry. He married Sharon (Shaffer) Perry Sept. 11, 1966, and she survives. Surviving are the following children, Gary Perry of Tiffin and friend Martha Stansbery, Raymond (Mitzie) Perry Jr. of Sycamore, Tina Perry of Dunkirk and friend John Pope and Kevin (Sherrie) Perry of Sycamore; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Perry of Melmore, Claude (Linnie) Perry of Bloomville and Dwight (Donna) Perry of Tiffin; and three sisters, Daisey Vaughn of Bloomville, Lois (Albert) McDonald of McCutchenville and Linda (Bert) Messersmith of rural Tiffin. He was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Perry. Raymond was a laborer, having worked at the former Swan Rubber, Bucyrus, for 45 years. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church, 8th Street, Tiffin, and was a 1960 graduate of Mohawk High School. For hobbies, Raymond loved to put out a garden, go to auctions where he collected glass and had quite a collection of salt and pepper shakers. Funeral for Raymond will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with Pastor Donald Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at the funeral home.
