Dennis D. Emerine

Dennis D. Emerine, 68, of New Riegel, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at his residence. Dennis was born Feb. 29, 1948, in Fostoria, to the late Paul and Luella (Dapp) Emerine. June 10, 1972, he married Janet (Clouse) Emerine in New Riegel, and Feb. 18, 2010, she preceded him in death. Survivors include his two daughters, Jennifer (Robert) Dorado of Columbus and Kimberly (Harlan) Howard of Detroit, Michigan; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Lauren (Virginia) Emerine of Alabama and Larry (Jeremy) Emerine of California. Dennis retired from Allied Signal in Fostoria. He was a member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel and Seneca Radio Club, with a call sign of N8PPR. Dennis also enjoyed bowling, gardening and spending time at Allen Eiry Center in Tiffin. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet; and a daughter, Erin Marie Emerine. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at All Saints Parish in New Riegel, with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow his service Monday at St. Boniface Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Emerine Memorial Scholarship Fund or to Seneca Radio Club.
