Mary L. Peacock

Mary L. Peacock, 68, of Tiffin, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family. Mary was born Sept. 18, 1947, in Tiffin, to the late Howard and Mary (Lenz) Young. She married Tommy L. Peacock in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death Sept. 22, 2007. Survivors include her three children, Amy (John) Tracy of Sunbury, Tommy (Gina) Peacock Jr. of Tiffin and Timmy Peacock of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gregory Young of Tiffin and David (Melissa) Young of Texas; and two sisters, Linda Hohman of Tiffin and Barb (Dan) Justen of Stow. Mary graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1965. She was a homemaker but was usually working a part-time job, most recently as a bank teller. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Tiffin AMVETS Post 48. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafts in general. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Howard Young. Funeral services for Mary will be private and at the convenience of the family. Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care.
