Joseph 'Joe' Weininger

Joseph “Joe” Weininger, 58, of 403 S. Sycamore Ave., Sycamore, died at 5:11 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016, in the emergency room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. He was born April 15, 1958, in Tiffin, to Herbert and Ruth Ann (Konkle) Weininger. His father died Feb. 12, 2016, and his mother survives in Tiffin. He married Vicki (Ingman) Weininger Dec. 31, 1987, and she survives in Sycamore. Surviving are the following children, Nikki (Aaron) Smith of Tiffin, Clay T. Weininger of Sycamore and Calli A. Weininger of Sycamore; as well as three grandchildren; three brothers, Jeff (Bonnie) Weininger of Phoenix, Arizona, Jerry (Lori) Weininger of Norwalk and Jack Weininger of Tiffin; and his rescue dog, Jake. Joe was a mail carrier for the city of Tiffin going on 23 years. He was a 1976 graduate of Mohawk High School, current commander of the Sons of the Sycamore American Legion Post No. 250 and union president of the Tiffin Post Office. He was very active with Sycamore ballfields in all capacities, plus all Sycamore youth baseball teams. He was a great animal lover, rescuing all kinds of animals. He loved all kinds of sports, especially Ohio State, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Browns. He was current commissioner of the BBF Fantasy Football League. A memorial service for Joe will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Robin LaBolt officiating. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016, prior to his memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Sycamore ballfields in Joe’s memory in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O.
