Denise M. Miller

Denise M. Miller, 63, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital. Denise was born Dec. 22, 1952, in Tiffin, to the late Vernus and Erma (Manecke) Smith. She married Larry Miller Feb. 18, 1977, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin and he survives in Tiffin. Survivors include her children, Lisa Porter, Dean (Rhonda) Miller, Craig (Angela) Miller, all of Tiffin, Corene (Joshua) Lefkovitz of Chicago and JJ Miller of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Gary (Barbara) Smith of Tiffin; and two sisters, Nancy Schindler of Tiffin and Linda Setescak of Flemington, New Jersey. Denise graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1971. She worked as a LPN at Mercy Tiffin Hospital. Denise was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, music, yard work and, most importantly, nurturing and loving her family and friends, and her dog, Miss Murphy. Denise was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral for Denise will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the service Monday. Visitation for family and friends will be held 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services Monday in St. Mary’s cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care or to Cleveland Clinic Neurological Department.
