Jerome J. (Jerry) Savoy

Jerome J. (Jerry) Savoy died peacefully at his home Dec. 28, 2015. Born Jan. 16, 1945, in Akron, to Julia and James Savoia, he graduated from Hoban High School, excelling in football and earning a Findlay College scholarship. He married Maggie (Lynch) and together they loved life for 49 years. Insurance adjusting brought him to the Cleveland area. Cleveland Marshal Law School at night opened his opportunity to help his clients for many years, and he retired from his law practice, Savoy and Bilancini. Survivors include his wife; a son, Joe (Pam) of Elyria; a daughter, Wendy (Gregg) Bell of Seattle, Washington; and four grandchildren, Eddie and Matt Savoy and Sarah and Eric Bell. Services will be private with a future celebration of Jerry’s life to be announced. The family requests memorials to Angel’s Haven Rescue, 13297 Durkee Road, Grafton, OH 44044.
