Tiffin resident kills himself on bank of Sandusky River | Advertiser-Tribune A Tiffin man took his own life on the bank of the Sandusky River Friday morning. Chief Fred Stevens of Tiffin Police Department identified the man as Franklin J. Meisner, 54, who lived on Tomb Street, just down the street from where his body was found. According to a police report, Seneca County Sheriff's Office advised at 9:04 a.m. it had received a 911 hangup call about a body by the river at the end of Tomb Street. Stevens said an officer who was in his cruiser on Huss Street heard the gunshot, and a man mowing a lawn saw Meisner walk to the river.
