Betty Jean Krupp

Betty Jean Krupp, 82, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2015, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital. She was born Oct. 2, 1932, in Tiffin, to Pete and Zelma (Dumond) Lofay. She married Raymond J. “Ray” Krupp Aug. 11, 1951, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he survives in Tiffin. Also surviving are two sons, Raymond M. (Lorie) Krupp and Dennis Krupp, both of Tiffin; four daughters, Karen (Harland) Greene of Clarkston, Michigan, and Sharon Thom, Susan Krupp and Jane Krupp, all of Tiffin; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard Lofay and Pete Lofay Jr.; and an infant sister, Catherine. Betty graduated in 1950 from Tiffin Columbian High School, was a glasscutter at U.S. Glass and was manager of the kitchen at Gay Lanes for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Mothers of Twin’s Club. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, reading and vacationing in Florida. Betty was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She also enjoyed playing golf, where she was a member of the Tuesday Morning Lady’s League at Seneca Hills. She was proud of her Hole in One on Hole No. 2 back in 1970. Her Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin. Friends may visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424.
