Kevin Haubert

The family of Kevin Lee Haubert celebrated the life of a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and great-uncle Monday, Sept. 29, 2014. Kevin died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014. Kevin was born June 25, 1977, the youngest child of Walter J. and Joyce (Hawk) Haubert. He married Becky (Boulee) Haubert April 3, 1999. He was father to four children, Serenity Myers of Burgoon, from his first relationship with Mahriya Myers Karr, and three children from his current marriage, Grace, Gabe and Xavier, all of Glendale, Arizona. He was brother to Nancy (Robert) Gosche of Katy, Texas, Mary (Kurt) Brewer of Risingsun, Danny (Mitzi) Haubert of Fremont and Laurie Walkup of Houston, Texas. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce; niece, Lesa Gosche; and grandparents, Walter Sr. and Rosella (Butzier) Haubert and Harry Sr. and Augusta (Smiley) Hawk. After graduating from Lakota High School in 1997, Kevin served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 3, 2000-April 5, 2005, and was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his service, Kevin went on to work for Garner Transportation Group, Findlay, before moving to Arizona in 2012 and at Native Resources International, Phoenix, Arizona. Kevin was known for many things, including his contagious laughter, quick wit and larger than life personality. An avid outdoorsman, he often spent his free time hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. Kevin enjoyed grilling and making his famous jalapeno salsa that was too hot for anyone to eat and then laughing at them. So many were touched by Kevin, in celebration of such a wonderful gift from God, a toast of Jack Daniels (his favorite) took place in his honor. Feel free to raise a glass to someone who tried to make everyone laugh. The family’s goal is to pay for at least one dog’s training that will assist a soldier with PTSD in memory of Kevin Haubert.
